Primary Movement
Primary Movement is a charitable organisation based in Northern Ireland. It does not treat children directly but instead provides training courses for teachers who can then go on to provide help for others. The Primary Movement program is based on the concept of retain primary reflexes (also known as primitive reflexes) being a significant factor in dyslexia, ADHD and other learning difficulties. Founded by Dr Martin McPhillips, a research fellow at Queen’s University, Belfast, who has published a paper in The Lancet on the effectiveness of replicating primary-reflex movements.
The web site provides details of their courses and of practitioners in the UK, Ireland and around the world who has been on the course.

Please contact me as I want to come and study this summer. I need to know if you are offering the workshops in a one week time frame to make it more accessible for international participants. I am very very interested in this training for students. I live in Calgary Alberta Canada and read about your work in Macleans Magazine.
Thank you for getting back to me.

I am a therapist and recently, a client has expressed beliefs around failure and worthlessness and as we explored reasons why these beliefs are being reinforced in her thirties she explained about her difficulties with academic exercises and her parents negative and unsupportive responses to these difficulties. I then printed a dyslexia test from the computer and the results confirmed that she has dylexia. We are now at the stage of sourcing more information in regards to specific treatment for adults with dyslexia and hope that you can help - even if it is signposting us to a more relevant body that could help. Looking forward to hearing from you,
Yours sincerely,
Eva McAlea
