Genetics, Dyslexia and Gray Matter
Researchers at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, Milan, Italy have found that areas of the brain relating to reading have less volume in dyslexics who also had a close family member with dyslexia. This suggests that there are underlying anatomic abnormalities that may be responsible for defective written language acquisition.
