NeuroCranial Restructuring
Myomancy’s mission is to provide "Independent news and reviews of alternative therapies relating to Dyslexia, ADHD and the Autistic spectrum". This occasionally involves covering techniques which are, even for alternative medicine, out on the fringes. NeuroCranial Restructuring is a technique apparently devised by Dr Dean Howell which he claims can help a huge range of problems including "Attention Deficit Disorder, dyslexia, hyperactivity and other learning disabilities". The treatment involves:
"After receiving a form of deep muscle massage and external cranial manipulation, the patient is analyzed to determine the cranial treatment pattern for the day. Then the patient is positioned on a treatment table with one or two therapists helping to hold him/her in a very specific position. The skull is finally released by the action of small, inflatable endonasal balloons that are inserted through the nostril and inflated briefly into the throat. The inflation feels like getting water up the nose and rarely requires five seconds to complete."
There is no evidence of scientific studies on the web site just some personal testimonials. Its hard not to be skeptical about this treatment and point out that a deep massage and the placebo effect of spending money on a treatment will make many people feel better.

Comments on: NeuroCranial Restructuring
NeuroCranial restructuring saved my life. I was on 180mg morphine a day. It’s also helped me cognitively with dramatic results. I feel, based on my own amazing results that it is nothing like a placebo effect. What if that’s true? The accusation that it is a placebo effect to grab peoples money is hard to refute simply because it’s been said. Please do more research for you are completely wrong.
