Dyslexia in Japan

Though dyslexia in English speaking countries is about 5% of the population it has long been thought that in Japan the incidence was a lot lower. However new research has shown that it is more common than believed. Professor Akira Uno at the Tsukuba University, Japan, found that between 1% and 8% had problems with one or more of the alphabets used by the Japanese and that these children also had problems learing English.

A primary cause of dyslexia has been identified by a Greek speaking dyslexic go to

To put this into very simple terms dyslexia is an orientation problem that is similar to being left handed ( ie Right sighted ) The scanning process happens at very high speed, the reader is not aware of it as it is automatic and involuntary. By forcing the reader to read in a direction in which he is unable to freely scan causes dyslexia or word blindness as it is commonly known.
My research my be of interest to you. It is called The Primary Cause of Dyslexia.
Boustrophedon writing indicates a right to left scanning preference first identified by the Greeks in 750 BC when the direction was changed to left to right in 500BC. The people with a right to left preference became dyslexic there after. This is the primary cause of dyslexia
The leonardo Da Vinci manuscripts confirm a right to left preference
Please go to Ruth Kelly on dyslexia. posted on you tube.
Ruth Kelly’s eyes show the direction of visual scanning right to left.
I believe as a process of elimination a person that cannot read or has difficulty in reading left to right text, should be deemed to be a right to left scanner unless there is clear evidence to prove otherwise.
