Hyperlexia
Science News Online has an article about hyperlexia and the neurological aspects of reading. Hyperlexia is syndrome where children developed highly advanced reading skill but has social problems similar to autism. This area is related to reading and not surprisingly hyperlexic children showed high levels of activity in that region.
