I think drugs + cognitive therapy is an effective treatment. My main problem with drugs &amp; ADHD is that people are placed on drugs with no thought as to how solve that person&#039;s underlying problems. Ritalin etc just reducew the symptoms not treat the disease.</description>

Although I do think that drugs combined with cognitive behavioural therapy (with a view to reducing use of medications) is a very good model, and one that has worked very well for me.  But people want the silver bullet, the magic tablet that will fix everything.  That way they do not have to put in the effort and time.</description>
