Speech and language therapy
Hi everyone
I am spitting feathers at the moment concerning Kieran's S&L therapy sessions, he missed the one last Tuesday because of sickness and we get a letter Thursday saying because he missed that one session they were cancelling the one this week and if they do not hear from us then they will take him off their books for good. What does the world come too when they can play god with our childrens learning difficulties. Now as far as I know S&L is not a luxury if a child has been found to need it then don't they have to cover it by law or am I wrong?????
Part of this is because they do not have the staff to cover the island of those needing help and I am beginning to feel that we are being used in a political game here. Why do I feel that what they are actually saying is "hopefully another child we can say is off the books" whether they still need the help or not!!!!!!
They have really got my goat over this and I will fight them tooth and nail over this, he needs that help and should get it, except when he is ill. We should not have that held over our heads as a threat!!!!!! Glad I got that off my chest. Ellie XXX
