  1. RE: Dore Sport

The two people I know who were involved in the initial setting up of Dore Sport are Gareth Wynford,{Wynford’s son} and Mr Kenny Logan.
You might want to contact the Rugby Clubs that have been using Dore, they might give you further insight into the programme that they’ve been following.
Although Dore make the claim that these exercises are personalised, there still is a common thread to the programme and that is the exercises work with your sensory system.

My insight into the Dore exercises is that most of the exercises seem to increase with a certain amount of difficulty, usually just enough to challenge your senses, not too difficult, as it suggests that if they’re too difficult the brain has a way of switching off and not responding. It can be about the ‘right’ amount of stimulation and progression to make any changes for you as an individual.

Over the last few years I’ve been following the varied accounts of the Dore programme and there has been much shared and many blogs set up. What has been missing is that no one seems to have shared the specific exercises or discussed the exercises openly. The exception is on this site, where Chris gives his personal account of the Posturography.

Some blogger has already suggested to put the exercises on the internet and I don’t mean under the contol of Dore. By the way does Dore exist as a company or not?
Is it not the right time now for the exercises to be put on the internet for all to look at and discuss?
IT IS THE ONE THING THAT HAS BEEN MISSING IN THE DEBATE ABOUT THE DORE PROGRAMME
I THINK IT WOULD BE AN INTERESTING PROJECT FOR THOSE PEOPLE TO SHARE THE EXERCISES ON THE INTERNET FOR OTHERS TO HAVE AN INPUT THAT MIGHT PROVE USEFUL AND ADD TO THE WHOLE DEBATE.
Perhaps, we would see how personalised the Dore programme really is?
No one seems to agree on the research that has been carried out. The debate on research is 3 step forwards and 2 step backwards and then sideways.
So let the exercises be judged openly on the internet.
What the programme has done to some degree is brought a variety of other well known exercises together under one umbrella. I can recognise the Alexander Technique, Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Hellenic and the use of the Swiss ball. The use of the Swiss ball was for people who have had some kind of back and mobility problem.
The common thread is that they all work with the human sensory system.

It’s also worth taking a look at The Learning Breakthrough Programme website.
The explanation of the theory behind the programme I think is useful and informative.

  2. In Aus then it was part of the same company & has also shut. I would expect the same to be the case elsewhere.
