Myomancy ADHD, Dyslexia and Autism

New to site and need help!!

 

Hello everyone! I am new to site today and would appreciate some help. Just some background first. My name is Sue, I live in Melbourne and my son Matthew is on the DORE program. He was just about to complete the program ( about 2 months to go ). We turned up to his May 27th appointment to find the doors closed and a note on the door. Matt was very distressed as was I. What Matt was MOST upset about was not being able to say goodbye to his fantastic consultant David at the Hawthorn Centre. He and David had built up such a great repore. ADHD kids don't handle sudden change to routine either so I felt Matt was really struggling to accept what has happened.

I would like to say straight away that we feel Matt has benefitted enormously from the program! I don't care what the medical experts say about the program; it works! Matt has suffered ADHD all his life. He is now 16 and ourselves and his school have noticed a huge improvement. Nothng else we have tried has had such a positive change for Matt. He is now able to concentrate better and settle in class and doesn't get so overwhelmed and exhausted just trying to 'keep it together' all day. His is not on Ritalin.

It's a shame the 7.30 report on the ABC last night chose to go the  negative route on the DORE closure and did not speak to any parents whose children have benefitted from the program even though we have been left in the lurch somewhat.

I would love to get his program completed via the E-Books online but can't seem to register. Could someone tell me what I am supposed to put in the PID box on the Regisration page?

For other parents in same boat that have paid through a finance company; if you go to them and state that what you have signed up for has not been delivered they must cancel your committment and seek compensation from DORE directly. You are paying for a product that has not been made available to you. See a Solicitor or Legal Aid if you cannot afford one.

Lastly, I have copied Matt's current hardest exercises into a booklet and we are continuing with the program until UK Dore can supply the new books. I hope they will be true to their word and at least finish up those kids that are currently on the program. Thanks and good luck to all. Would welcome any replies.
