Reading Book Help!!

Hi All,

Lucy is on a not too bad reading level 8 but is getting really frustrated with Biff and Chip and what she considers other babyish and boring books. Being a book lover myself I know that being interested in what you're reading makes you want to read more. She would love to read the Famous Five but there are too many hard words and she loses that all important flow.

Does anyone know of any books that are based on the reading levels but take into account that not everyone reading them is 6!! or any other books that they have come across that are adventurous and fun but are nice and straight forward. Unfortuantely alot of books on the market, whilst appearing simple when she actually tries to read them the longer more uncommon words trip her up. We have been reading alot of the Rainbow Fairy collection but that is now too young apparently!! She is a very imaginative little girl and wants her books to be the same.

 Any advice gratefully received.

Kate
