What is Dore userboard ?
From one of the entries on this site I linked to the Dore userboard and see that it is a back up forum for Dore. I am a complete ludite when it comes to IT. Is it an official dore site or has one of the parents set it up in case this site goes off line? Is there a potential worry that this site might close with the financial difficulties Dore is experiencing ?
Clarification would be most welcome.

I’d guess you mean this: http://dore.usersboard.com/index.htm
I set it up after Dore UK went into receivership at the request of some parents. It’s no longer anything to do with me though - a few parents have mod / admin rights. It’s not official, though I note that Wynford’s daughter Roseanne has registered to post, as have quite a few ex-staff.
It’s free & I set it up in a hurry, hence not looking that pretty, the usersboard address is just because that’s the first forum hosting I picked.
It was intended as a ‘back-up’ to allow people to keep in touch in case the main ‘Dore Talk’ website went down during the administration, since no-one was too sure what might happen at the time. Since then it’s take on a bit of a life of it’s own, with ~100 users & ~500 posts in the few weeks it’s been going.
I’d suggest bookmarking it to find it again in case the official Dore Talk does go down during administration, though that seems less likely now.
Hope that helps!

I’m an aspiring Ivy League student (Columbia),and I was wondering if there are any members on here that can share their experiences with their education. How did the degree treat you afterwards? A gift that keeps on giving, or in your case, a gift that keeps on paying
